We anticipate there will be around 80 in-person attendees

Accommodation
College Rooms
A limited number of student rooms in college are available for delegates to book at a competitive rate. Please note these are standard single bedrooms with shared bathrooms (likely in Thomas White Quad), for those on a budget. For more information and to book, click here.

Old Parsonage Hotel
We have secured a discounted rate for delegates to book at the Old Parsonage Hotel, located in central Oxford (~5 mins walk from the college). Please book using the promo code SJGLOBAL25

Other Options
Oxford has many hotels that you can find on websites such as Booking.com, but early booking is advised, as rooms quickly become unavailable.
Many other Oxford colleges also offer their student rooms at favourable rates (see here)

Hotel rates are lower outside the city centre, but it is worth checking whether there are good transport links to the centre. For instance, the EasyHotel in Summertown is close to a bus stop with frequent services that take 5-10 minutes to the centre.
Travel Information
IMPORTANT: For International Attendees
As of April 2025, all non-visa nationals (including EU/EEA/Swiss nationals) who are travelling to the UK without a visa will require an electronic travel authorisation (ETA).
An ETA costs £10, permits multiple journeys, and is valid for two years or until the holder's passport expires - whichever is sooner. Approval normally takes up to 3 working days.
More information on the application process can be found here

Getting To Oxford
International travel
The most convenient airport is London Heathrow, which has a regular direct bus service to central Oxford that takes around 1.5 hr. Tickets can be purchased on board with British currency or contactless card payment. (N.B. If arriving at Heathrow we strongly advise taking the bus rather than the train into London and out again).

London Gatwick is also linked to Oxford by a direct bus service, but the transfer time is longer.

The final stop of the airport bus (Gloucester Green) is a 2 minute walk from St John's College.

Oxford is accessible by rail from London (Paddington or Marylebone stations), and St John's is around a 15 minute walk from the station.

There is no parking at the college, and if driving, we would advise using the Park and Ride scheme.
